The majestic Avocado tree with its emerald foliage thrives in tropical climates. Native to the humid forests of Mexico, its pretty ovoid fruit is primarily valued for its creamy and delicate flesh.
Traditional medicine uses the oil extracted from this pulp, and not from the stone as we might think, for its soothing, softening and toning properties. It is also known to improve vision, stimulate appetite and restore shine to dry hair.
Avocado oil is recognised for its anti-ageing and antioxidant properties. It reduces skin ageing due to free radical attacks caused by the environment and oxidative stress, thanks to its richness in tocopherols, the famous vitamin E. It also promotes skin elasticity.
Composed of precious lipids and vitamins A, D and E, but also potassium, manganese, and phosphorus, Avocado oil acts on the skin’s permeability by improving its barrier function. This elixir thus maximises the skin’s hydration and softens it while nourishing it deeply.
Lastly, its phytosterol content promotes rapid absorption with no oily finish.
