Watermelon
(Citrullus lanatus)
Native to the semi-arid regions of the Kalahari desert located in South Africa, the watermelon or Kalahari melon is the ancestor of watermelon. Its seeds produce a light yellow oil known for generations for its hydrating and sun-protective properties.
Watermelon oil is obtained by first cold pressing of the seeds. Very rich in linoleic acid, it helps maintain skin hydration, soothes sensitive skin in acne-prone skin and regulates the excess sebum accumulated in the pores.
