Rapeseed
(Brassica campestris)
Rapeseed flourishes in many countries with temperate and sunny climates. Carried by bright yellow flowers, its elongated fruits contain small, dark black seeds. The oil extracted from them has a subtle fragrance and a neutral taste.
Rapeseed is a strategic crop: it is used for animal feed, the production of cooking oil, and now as biofuel for trains! Its oil also has regenerating and hydrating properties for the skin.
